Glass that hits right.

A quartz banger sits off to the side of your rig, so the heat stays away from the glass joint and away from your face. That means less risk of thermal shock cracking your piece. Thick-bottom bangers (3–4mm) hold heat longer for steadier low-temp sessions, and a higher intake keeps oil from running down the neck. Flat tops, terp slurpers and core reactors all come in 10mm, 14mm and 18mm, male or female, at 45° or 90°.

Borosilicate glass bongs have stayed the go-to piece for a reason. Glass is flavor-neutral, so it won't add a plastic or metallic taste, and it rinses clean. Water filtration cools the smoke, and percolators like matrix, tree and showerhead percs split it into finer bubbles for a smoother pull. Thicker 7mm and 9mm walls stand up to everyday use.

Dab rigs are smaller water pipes built for flavor. A short airpath keeps the taste clean, while recyclers and banger hangers add smooth, rolling filtration without dulling it. Pick a micro or mini rig for travel and quick sessions, or a full-size recycler for the showpiece on your shelf. Most rigs take a 14mm banger.

An ash catcher adds a second chamber of filtration to your bong and keeps ash and resin out of the main tube, so your piece stays cleaner longer. Diffused downstems split the smoke as it enters the water for a cooler, quieter hit. Measure from the joint to the end of the stem to find your length, and match the joint size to your bong.

A carb cap traps heat inside the banger so you can run lower temperatures and get more flavor from every session. A good dab tool makes loading clean and easy. Pick a scoop for soft textures, a pointed tip for stickier ones, or a paddle for everything in between. Tools come in glass, quartz, titanium and stainless steel, and some double as a carb cap to save a step.
